Cancellation fees for podiatry conferences after August 4, 2022
If you’d like to attend a podiatry conference, but you can’t make it, you can always request a refund. But, you’ll have to wait a long time. APMA has not announced its cancellation policy since last November. You may be able to cancel your registration before August 4, 2022.
The APMA recently updated its educational program, which is now offered in two tracks. Foot and ankle topics have been integrated into other tracks, and medical and surgical topics are now available on both tracks. General sessions will now include presentations from APMA-affiliated organizations. The APMA is also looking for feedback on the meeting and how it can better meet your needs.
Cancellation deadlines for podiatry conferences after August 4, 2022
Podiatry conferences can be cancelled up to three months in advance. After this deadline, refunds will be issued in full. Exceptions to this rule will be made in cases of extenuating circumstances. For this reason, delegates should contact conference organisers ahead of time to determine the specific cancellation deadline for their event.
Georgia Podiatric Medical Association Summit. The event is scheduled for March 26-28 and includes a lab event. American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. The conference takes place from March 24 to 28 in Orlando. It is also scheduled to be held from April 16-18 in Washington, DC. The American Medical Society for Sports Medicine will also hold its annual meeting in 2020.
CME credits available for podiatry conferences after August 4, 2022
If you’re interested in continuing your education as a podiatrist, you can still attend conferences after August 4, 2022. The American Academy of Podiatric Medicine (AAPM) has a continuing education program for physicians that provides CME credit. The program is aimed at providing the latest information on lower extremity preservation. It features speakers from the government and private sectors, including the VA and the Department of Defense.
In order to be eligible for CME credit, you must have either an AACP certification in foot and ankle surgery. If you’ve completed a postgraduate clinical residency program, you must have a certificate of completion. If you’re a podiatrist, you can obtain certification through a podiatric board-approved program.
Podiatric registrars can also attend conferences to update their knowledge. For example, the Podiatric Residency Education Summit Midwest, held September 28-30 in Oak Brook, IL, will have general lectures and personalized workshops. The program will discuss surgical techniques, wound care techniques, and practice management.
APMA has streamlined its educational program for DPMs. There are two tracks now: Track 1 covers medical topics, Track 2 covers surgical topics, and both tracks will have APMA-affiliated organizations. The organization also welcomes feedback on meeting needs.
